Belfast’s most loved family festival returns this year with a fresh look, presenting an amazing week long programme of world music, dance, food, theatre and art finishing with a magical Mini Mela across the city centre.

A week long celebration of culture, colour and creativity as it comes together across a magical series of events finishing with the fabulous festival finale at Botanic Gardens.

Belfast Mela is the city’s annual celebration of global cultures when tens of thousands of visitors come together to celebrate our people and diversity.

The centre piece of the festival is Mela Day, which transforms Belfast’s Botanic Gardens into a magical global garden filled with the sights, sounds and aromas of nations right around the world.

The 18th edition of the festival will take place from the 17 – 25 August 2024.
