Hannon Coach is delighted to announce that we have partnered with Stena Line to offer a new, high-quality direct coach service between Belfast and Glasgow starting on 1st February this year.

The new service is backed by a significant investment of £1.75m in high-quality coaches, staff and an online booking facility.

The service will operate from Donegall Square West directly into Glasgow’s Buchanan Street Station, right in the heart of Glasgow’s ‘Style Mile’, with a simple flat fare of £29 each way.

Managing Director, Aodh Hannon commented: “There is a strong relationship between the two cities and many reasons for people to make a trip in either direction. However, a lot of people are put off travelling, particularly for overnight trips or short city-breaks, because of the hassle and hidden costs.”

He continued: “The most common complaint with the airlines is that advertised fares are often not available and the add-ons quickly add up. A single medium-sized bag for instance costs around £20 each way. Often the restriction on liquids in hand luggage forces people into a choice of paying the extra or picking-up expensive toiletries at the airport. For friends travelling together, they don’t want to spend the equivalent of their first night out just getting their bags to go with them.”

Aodh believes that the quality of service, straightforward fares and relatively short journey time will be the factors that make the new service a success: “It’s £29 each way all-in and that’s it. We are hoping that people will respond to this and choose to travel with us.”

The new service starts on 1st February 2018 and can be booked online at www.hannoncoach.com
