Our new Coronavirus safety measures

Safer coach travel

Our new safety measures and how you can help

Our services are back up and running with a new timetable.  Keeping our customers and staff safe is our number one priority.

We have put in place a range of new safety measures to keep you safe when travelling on our coaches.

We’re Good To Go

We are pleased to hold the “We’re Good To Go” industry standard to show that we are following government and public health guidance, and to reassure our customers they can travel on our services with confidence.

Passengers are not required to take a Covid-19 PCR test before travelling on board our coach.
Passengers should not travel if they feel unwell or show symptoms of Covid-19.
We have developed our express coach service in partnership with Stena Line therefore the Covid-19 safety measures we have put in place mirror that of Stena Line’s.

Face masks required throughout journey

Government guidance recommends the wearing of a face covering or mask when travelling on public transport. To minimise the spread of the virus you will be required to wear a face mask or face covering when on board the coach and ferry. You may be refused travel if you fail to do so.

There are exemptions for those with medical conditions and the requirement does not apply to children under the age of 13.

Outdoor areas of the ferry where social distancing can be maintained will also be exempt from the requirements.

Social Distancing as per Government Requirements

Passengers are requested to respect social distancing wherever possible.  When boarding and disembarking please leave at least 1 metre between other passengers.

Passengers are required to sit in seats at least 1 metre distance from other passengers.  Passengers are not permitted to sit in any seat identified as being ‘closed-off’ to facilitate social distancing.

Passengers from the same household / social bubble may sit together throughout the journey.

Boarding and disembarking may take longer than usual. Please have your ticket ready, with your ticket clearly visible for the driver or member to see.

Reduced capacity onboard every coach

The maximum capacity of all coaches will be limited to help with social distancing.

We will limit the number of passengers on board all our coaches to less than 50% capacity.

Increased Hygiene & Cleaning Schedule

Regular aerosol based disinfection with a high performance antiviral solution, sometimes called ‘fogging’ will be in place. Key touch points including handrails, armrests, seat belts and toilets will be cleaned regularly using a high performance antiviral cleaning solution.

Hand sanitiser stations will also be available on coaches for customer use as you board. If you can, bring hand sanitiser gel for use during your journey.

On board toilets will remain open and will be cleaned regularly using fogging and antiviral solutions.
