Terms & Conditions
By booking and paying for a tour or scheduled coach journey with HANNON COACH, you agree to and accept the following terms and conditions. This agreement is between you, the participating passenger (henceforth referred to as “you”), and HANNON COACH 21 Brankinstown Rd, Aghalee, Craigavon BT67 0DF, NORTHERN IRELAND (henceforth referred to as “HANNON COACH”).
1. BOOKING AND PAYMENTS
1.1. To make a booking and guarantee a seat on any HANNON COACH tour or coach journey, you must agree to the terms and conditions listed below, and provide payment in full. HANNON COACH accepts a booking on the understanding that full payment has been collected and held either by HANNON COACH directly, or by one of our authorised sales agents or partners.
1.2. Upon confirmation of your booking and receipt of full payment, subject to availability and at the discretion of HANNON COACH, HANNON COACH will reserve you a seat on the selected trip. It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to check the accuracy of the booking and the dates of travel.
1.3. Upon confirmation of your booking, HANNON COACH will issue you a confirmation number and/or e-ticket. This confirmation number is required for participation in the selected tour.
2.1. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any loss, damage, liability, cost or expense suffered by you or any third party as a result of any alteration, cancellation or withdrawal of any service by us, or any delay to any service, or termination of any service.
2.2. If the coach trip or service you are booked on is delayed or cancelled, we will inform you of the situation as soon as possible – and no later than 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time. In case of a delay, you will be informed of the estimated departure time as soon as this information is available.
2.3. For long-distance (250 km or more) coach services which are delayed at departure for more than 2 hours, we will offer you a choice between:
2.3.1. Full reimbursement of your ticket; or
2.3.2. Continuing your journey or re-routing under similar conditions, to your final destination at the earliest opportunity at no extra cost.
2.4. For long-distance (250 km or more) coach services which are delayed at any stage for more than 90 minutes, we will reimburse food and drink costs as follows:
2.4.1. More than 90 minutes: A non-alcoholic drink such as a bottle of water or a hot drink (up to the value of £2)
2.4.2. 4 hours or more: A non-alcoholic drink such as a bottle of water or a hot drink and a snack (up to the value of £7)
2.4.3. 8 hours or more: A non-alcoholic drink such as a bottle of water or a hot drink and a meal (up to the value of £15)
2.4.4. Every 4 hours thereafter: A non-alcoholic drink such as a bottle of water or a hot drink and a snack or a meal (up to the value of £7)
2.5. Our drivers or ferry staff cannot reimburse you. If you bought an advanced ticket online or over the phone, we will automatically refund you. If you did not purchase in advance you need to contact our office to initiate a claim. email@example.com Tel +44 (0)28 92650700
2.6. Customers who purchased tickets through a 3rd party marketplace such as OMIO or BusBud should contact the agent to initiate a claim.
3. TOUR DESCRIPTION
3.1. Unless otherwise stated in the tour description, HANNON COACH provides single trip transportation on a private chartered coach.
3.2. All HANNON COACH trips include a travel advisor/facilitator to help you with the basic logistics of your trip. Where appropriate the coach driver will act as the travel advisor/facilitator.
3.3. HANNON COACH coach drivers are NOT professional guides, are not responsible for providing guided excursions, walking tours or anything other than advice with the basic logistics of your trip.
3.4. Where accommodation is included in the tour, the travel advisor will, assist you during check in at the provided accommodation and provide you with basic information concerning recommendations of what to do and what to see.
4. CONTRACTING PARTIES
4.1. The booking conditions detailed herein contain the entire contract between you and HANNON COACH. No representation, term, warranty or condition can be expressed or implied by reference to any other writing, advertisement or conversation.
4.2. Your contract is with HANNON COACH Ltd. HANNON COACH reserves the right to nominate to you in writing any other company or person to have the benefit of some or all of the provisions of this contract, which HANNON COACH may then specify as if you had agreed to the provisions concerned directly with that company or person.
4.3. HANNON COACH acts as a booking agent and contracts directly with coaches, boats, hostels, hotels and other service providers. All bookings with carriers and other service providers are subject to their terms and conditions and limitations of liability. It is important to note that some of these limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage. HANNON COACH cannot accept any responsibility for any loss as a result of such actions or as a result of any act or omission of any such third parties.
4.4. Many accommodation arrangements provided by HANNON COACH are contracted to third party providers. They are subject to the terms and conditions, and limitations of liability, imposed by the provider. All arrangements are made independently of HANNON COACH, regardless of the booking of such arrangements by HANNON COACH.
4.5. By booking and paying for a tour or coach journey with HANNON COACH, you agree to and accept the terms and conditions. This agreement is between you, the participating passenger (referred to as “you”) and HANNON COACH 21 Brankinstown Rd, Aghalee, Craigavon BT67 0DF, NORTHERN (referred to as “HANNON COACH”).
5. PASSENGER RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1. You are responsible for making sure that you travel on the Service for which you have a valid Ticket and that you board that Service at the correct boarding point, and you alight that service at the correct destination.
5.2. It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with the seat belt requirements.
5.2.1. You must wear the seatbelt provided at all times whilst seated on the Coach during a Journey (as this is required by law and for your own and others’ safety). This also applies to passengers travelling in wheelchairs. You may still use the toilet facilities onboard the Coach but must refit your seatbelt immediately upon returning to your seat.
5.2.2. If you are travelling with a valid seat belt exemption certificate, you do not have to wear a seatbelt but you will not be permitted to be seated in any of the front seats of the Coach for your own, our employees and other –passengers’ safety. This also applies even if you have reserved one of the front seats and you will not be entitled to a refund of any fee paid for reserving such seat.
5.3. If short stops are made by a Service for toilet or refreshment breaks, you must return to the Coach punctually within the time allowed for the stop. We shall not be obliged to hold up the Coach to wait for you, and we shall not be liable to you if you miss the Coach because you return later than the specified time for departure. We will not be liable for any additional costs or losses you may incur as a result of you missing the departure of the Coach.
5.4. Where coach journeys involve a ferry element, you must return to the Coach punctually following onboard passenger announcements directing passengers travelling on vehicles to return to the vehicle. We shall not be obliged to hold up the Coach to wait for you, and we shall not be liable to you if you miss the Coach because you return later than directed. We will not be liable for any additional costs or losses you may incur as a result of you missing the departure of the Coach.
5.5. HANNON COACH may not be held responsible for your personal belongings. It is your responsibility to look after your belongings yourself. HANNON COACH cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to any of your personal belongings, regardless of the circumstances.
5.6. You must pack your entire luggage safely and securely, and lock and fasten it, with a view to protecting your luggage from loss, damage or interference, and to protecting any other property on a coach from being damaged by your luggage. All luggage which is given into our custody should be clearly and appropriately labelled and include a contact telephone number where possible.
5.7. If you have to change from one Coach to another you will be responsible for transferring yourself and your Luggage and other items of property between Coaches, unless other arrangements have been made in advance including those made by passengers who have pre-booked assistance.
5.8. You agree to comply with the authority of the HANNON COACH travel advisor/coach driver, and the laws and regulations of the countries visited, including customs and foreign exchange restrictions. If you do not comply with said reservations, you will be asked by the HANNON COACH travel advisor/coach driver to leave the trip. You are not eligible for refunds under such circumstances.
5.9. It is your responsibility to make sure that, where required, you have a valid passport and all necessary visas, permits or certificates on your person for your selected trip. HANNON COACH is not liable for any problems, delays or denied entry in the event you are not in possession of valid travel documents.
5.10. There may be times when the HANNON COACH travel advisor/coach driver must make a decision for the safety and/or the best interests of the group. It is a condition of booking that you comply with the authority and decisions of the HANNON COACH travel advisor/coach driver. If you do not comply, or if in the opinion of the HANNON COACH travel advisor/coach driver you are not compatible with the general enjoyment of the group or the smooth operation of the tour, HANNON COACH reserves the right to refuse to allow you to continue with the tour. You agree that HANNON COACH has the exclusive right to dispel you from a tour at any time, without any claims or complaints by you against HANNON COACH. In such a case HANNON COACH will not be liable for any refund, compensation, or additional costs incurred by you.
5.11. It is your responsibility to meet the transportation provided by HANNON COACH at the correct time and location for departure. In the event you miss a planned departure, any extra travel costs incurred are paid by you. Passengers who miss a departure time due to delay or cancellation of incoming transportation are not entitled to a refund. It is your responsibility to check in with the HANNON COACH travel advisor/coach driver 15 minutes prior to the specified departure time or, in the case of pick-up points, be at the pick-up point 10 minutes prior to the specified departure time.
5.12. Due to the nature of the services provided, HANNON COACH will not be liable if any service departs or arrives later than the specified time, even if as a result you miss a connecting service or event.
5.13. The products offered by HANNON COACH are travel packages consisting of transportation and, where specified, accommodation.
5.14. You agree that HANNON COACH may take photographs and films of you while you are participating in a HANNON COACH trip. You agree that these images may be used for marketing purposes by HANNON COACH. These images may be used in, but are not limited to, brochures, websites, social media, print media and promotional videos. These images may be used for publicity and advertising without HANNON COACH obtaining further consent or payment for the use of the images.
5.15 Passengers are not permitted by law to take alcoholic drinks onto coaches for the purpose of consuming them on board, nor to drink such drinks on the coach. HANNON COACH reserves the right to refuse travel to anyone under the influence of alcoholic drink.
6.1. There is no travel insurance included in the cost of any HANNON COACH tour or package, ticket, or product.
6.2. HANNON COACH highly recommends that you purchase your own travel insurance that covers all of your travels. HANNON COACH strongly recommends that you are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy which includes: personal accident, medical expenses, personal baggage, money and public liability.
7. WE HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
7.1. We shall have no liability for any delay or failure to carry you, or for breach of contract, where caused by a circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
7.2. The following shall be considered to be circumstances beyond our reasonable control: war or threat of war, accidents causing delays on the service route, exceptional severe weather conditions, fire and/or damage at a station, compliance with requests of the police, customs or other government officials and security services, changes by local transport authority to roads or local traffic plans, deaths and accidents on the road, vandalism and terrorism, unforeseen traffic delays, strike/industrial action, riot or local disturbance or unrest, problems caused by other customers, bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation of trade of any carrier used by us and other circumstances affecting passenger safety.
8.1. Any discounted fares, promotion fares, sale fares and package deals are non-transferable and non-refundable.
8.2. Promotional trips as prizes are non-transferable.
8.3. Vouchers / Gift Certificates are non-refundable.
8.4. Cancellation/change of a booking by you must be made in writing or via email to HANNON COACH and received prior to the day of departure and may incur an additional charge.
8.5. The following cancellation policies apply:
8.5.1. 20 days prior to departure 100% refund.
8.5.2. 7 days prior to departure 50% refund. Any booking or payment made with less than 20 days remaining before the trip are subject to the same regulations.
8.5.3. Less than 7 days prior to departure no refund. Any booking or payment made with less than 7 days remaining before the trip are subject to the same regulations.
8.6. No refunds will be made in respect of any unused portion of a ticket or partially completed trip.
