There is no requirement to show identification when travelling UK – UK on our Express Coach Service.  However, the ferry operator does advise to bring photographic ID.

Sorry, no we are not able to pre-book access to the Stena Lounge for our passengers. Stena advise passengers wishing to avail of the lounge to contact customer services upon boarding the ferry. Stena’s Customer Service Team will be happy to organise access to the lounge subject to availability.
To request a refund you can either do so by emailing a refund request to info@hannoncoach.com or phone our office on 028 92 650700. Our office hours are Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm) excluding Bank Holidays.
Our flat fare structure is fully-flexible to suit whatever your travel needs are. Our fare is for the same each way no matter when you want to travel. You can use it to go one way, back on the same day, a weekend break or even to come back a month or even 2-3 months later.
We operate a free-seating policy on the service. We do however provide a complimentary reservation service for passengers with mobility or health requirements. Yes, you can either print your tickets or just display your PDF Ticket to the driver on your mobile device.
We have a simple flat fare of £43 each way between Belfast Stena Line Terminal and Glasgow, £44 between Belfast, Europa Bus Station & Glasgow, £46 between Lisburn & Glasgow and £47 between Lurgan & Glasgow. This includes the price of the ferry, all additional environmental charges and x1 23kg baggage allowance (per fare paying passenger). There are no hidden costs, no optional ‘extras’, nasty add-ons or price hikes at peak times. No matter when you book, no matter when you travel it’s always the same price.

We have two pick-up / drop-off points in Belfast. The coach departs from Belfast, Europa Bus Station (Stand 7) and then serves Stena Line Victoria Terminal 4. Passengers boarding at the Stena Line Terminal are free to avail of the Stena Line waiting facilities. The coach will pull up at the stand outside the waiting area and the driver will enter the arrivals hall and announce the departure of our service. Passengers should arrive at the departure / pick-up point at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure to allow for on-loading of luggage and boarding coach.
The coach picks-up / drops-off at Stance 55 in Glasgow, Buchanan Bus Station. Buchanan Bus Station lies right in the Heart of Glasgow’s main shopping area an is less than 800m from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Buchanan Galleries (one of Glasgow’s largest shopping and food centres – home to the likes of John Lewis) Passengers should arrive at the departure / pick-up point at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure to allow for on-loading of luggage and boarding coach.
You can take x1 medium-sized suitcase weighing no more than 23Kg each.
Yes, the service is a direct Express Service between Belfast and Glasgow. We do offer a pick-up / drop-off at Belfast Stenaline Terminal but other than that there are no other calling points along the route
Yes, infants under 4 years of age (i.e. 3 years and under) can travel free with an accompanying Adult passenger. Free infant travel is limited to one Infant per Adult travelling. Infants may be required to sit in the lap of the accompanying Adult for the coach journey.
We currently have 2 departures in either direction every day. Check out our online timetable. The overall journey times is around 5hrs 15mins.
Yes, all coaches are full-touring class coaches and are fitted with the latest generation of freshwater toilets.
No. Animals and pets cannot be brought on board any of our coaches. In accordance with EU law we do accept recognised guide and assistance dogs and allow them travel.

No, we handle all that for you. Because you pre-book with us we automatically check you in with the ferry operator
By law, we are required to provide the ferry operator with a manifest of passengers travelling. As part of the manifest, we are required to advise the ferry operator of any accessibility requirements passengers may have. Therefore, during the booking process you will be asked to provide us with your general requirements. If you have any specific requirements, please get in touch 24 hours before you are due to travel to discuss your travel requirements. We will liaise with the ferry operator to make your journey as smooth as possible.
We will accept lightweight manual wheelchairs, subject to them being capable of being stowed in the luggage hold of the coach. We are unable to accept motorised wheelchairs or manual wheelchairs that are more than 20kgs in weight.
No, all services require you to book and pay in advance for your travel. Our drivers cannot accept any payment and cannot issue any tickets. The best way to book your trip is through our mobile friendly website (www.hannoncoach.com). We can also accept telephone bookings during normal working hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5PM). Tel: 028 92 650700.
For cancellations 7 days prior to departure we offer a 100% refund. For cancellations between 3-7 days prior to departure we offer a 50% refund. We cannot offer any refund for cancellations within less than 3-7 days of departure. Any booking or payment made with less than 3-7 days remaining before the trip are subject to the same regulations. No changes to travel can be made within 72 hours of scheduled departure time. Yes we can accommodate bikes on board. Bicycles must be stored in the hold of the coach. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that bicycles are loaded securely into the hold.
Drivers can assist with the loading of luggage on and off the coach for customers who may need help. However, for items weighing over 20kg customers will be asked to load them themselves.
Sometimes our tickets can end up in your spam or junk folder, please check these folders to see if it’s there. If you booked online, you can view your ticket online and reprint it. No, we don’t serve Glasgow Airport directly. However, First Group Glasgow operate a highly frequent dedicated airport link service between Buchanan Bus Station and Glasgow Airport. The First Glasgow 500 service departs from Stance 45 in Buchanan Bus Station just 20 metres from where our coach drops-off / picks-up at Stance 55. The First Glasgow 500 Service operates from 03:30 to 23:30 most days. At peak times the service operates every 10 minutes. The journey time between Buchanan Bus Station and Glasgow Airport is around 25 minutes. For more information contact Traveline Scotland. For passengers departing from Belfast we advise parking at Belfast Stenaline and opting to board the coach at the Stenaline Terminal. For parking rates please visit the the Stenaline Terminal webpage.
No, you do not need to get off the coach at the ferry terminal. Our coach goes with you on the boat and your luggage can stay in our secure hold.
The coaches are touring quality coaches with best-in-class leg room.
The service operates 7 days a week – every day except Christmas Day
Our coach will pull up at Stand 2 just outside the terminal building. There is no need to check in at the terminal as we have automatically taken care of that for you. All you have to do is to show your ticket to our driver, board the coach and we take care of the rest. We advise passengers to arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time of the coach. Passengers boarding at the Stenaline Terminal are free to avail of the Stenaline waiting facilities.
It is an offence under The Public Service Vehicles Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985 for any passengers to consume alcohol on any public coach service. Alcohol cannot be brought on board the coach but can be carried within luggage that is stored within the hold. Any alcohol that is not secured within hold luggage is not allowed. Passengers are further advised that Stena Line enforces a strict policy regarding bringing alcohol into any of its passenger facilities – any alcohol brought on board will be confiscated. Our top priority is the comfort and safety of our passengers – anyone deemed to be unfit for travel either due to alcohol or other substances will be refused the right to travel.

Our service has been developed in partnership with Stenaline. All of our services use Stena’s Superfast ships, with a wide range of on-board facilities on hand to make your journey as relaxing and as fun as possible.

Yes, absolutely. Any large items of luggage you have can stay safely stowed in the coach luggage hold which will then be locked for the crossing. During the crossing the coach deck is also locked and passengers do not have access to it. Passengers will be advised via the on-board pa system of when it is time to return to the coach. Usually this is around 10 minutes before docking.
